THE COURT: All right. And my recollection
is when we last ended up, the plaintiff rested and
the defendant wished to proceed with the case.
MR. PATRICIA: Yes, your Honor.
THE COURT: Call your first witness.
MR. PATRICIA: Defense calls Dr. James White
to the stand.

(1 Dr. White, are you currently a licensed physician
practicing in New York State?
A I am.
Q And how long have you been so licensed to practice
medicine in New York State?
A Since 1970 -- '71, I guess.
Q And can you just give us a brief rundown of your
