11          Q.    Dr. Hume, just for the
12   record, we have met before, my name is
13   Mike Brophy.  I'm here on behalf of
14   Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.  As
15   you may be aware, we are now completing
16   with your testimony today in an
17   arbitration of a matter which was filed
18   by Annette Shelton originally against
19   yourself and the hospital, you are no
20   longer a defendant in that case.  The
21   arbitration proceeded last Thursday
22   subject to the completion of your
23   testimony.  We will have a transcript
24   today, it will be sent to the arbitrator,

 1   he will then make a decision about the
 2   case.  You are currently affiliated with
 3   Cooper Medical Center.
 4          A.    Yes, yes, I am.
 5          Q.    What is your current
 6   position?
 7          A.    I am a professor of surgery
 8   in the division of orthopedic surgery.
 9   I'm on the faculty here at Cooper.  I
10   have admitting privileges at Cooper
11   University Hospital.  So I have my
12   academic appointment is through Robert
13   Wood Johnson, Camden, and my admitting
14   privileges are through Cooper University
15   Hospital.
16          Q.    Are you currently licensed
17   in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey?
18          A.    Yes, I am.
19          Q.    And you are board
20   certified --
21          A.    In orthopedic surgery.
22          Q.    -- in orthopedic surgery?
23   With a voluntary recertification?
24          A.    Yes, I'm actually going to

 1   recertify next month.  My original
 2   certificate was of the era where there
 3   was no limitations on the certificate,
 4   but because I have an academic position
 5   and because everyone we train now has to
 6   recertify every 10 years, it is sort of
 7   the right thing to do is go ahe
