 1        Q.   Dr. Bregman, before we begin, I
 2   thought it would be helpful to explain a few
 3   terms, or have you explain a few terms.
 4             Can you describe what a coarctation
 5   of the aorta is?
 6        A.   A coarctation of the aorta is a
 7   narrowing of the aorta; usually the ones we
 8   mostly see are up in the descending thoracic
 9   aorta.
10        Q.   What is a hypoplastic aorta?
11        A.   A hypoplastic aorta would be one that
12   simply does not develop normally and all of the
13   structures are smaller and more diminutive than
14   normal.
15        Q.   Did Donato Schiraldi have coarctation
16   of the aorta?
17        A.   He did.
18        Q.   Did he have hypoplastic aorta?
19        A.   No.
20        Q.   What is an undersized aorta?
21        A.   By words, an undersized aorta would
22   mean a smaller aorta.
23        Q.   Because you said "by words," I take
24   it that that's not an expression that you

 3        A.   You could use the term, b
