7 Honor. We would like to call Dr. Donald
8 Fry.

10 Thereupon, the Plaintiff, in order
11 to further maintain the issues on her part
12 to be maintained, called as a witness,
13 DONALD FRY, M.D., who, having been first duly
14 sworn, was examined and testified, as follows:

16 DIRECT EXAMINATION OF DONALD FRY, M.D.
17 BY MR. KENNNEDY:
18 Q Doctor, could you please state your name and
19 your professional address?
20 A Donald E. Fry, and my address is 2211 Lomas
21 Boulevard in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
22 Q You are a physician?
23 A Yes.

24 Q And your specialty within the medical
25 profession is what?

I I'm a general surgeon.
2 Q Now, at my request have you reviewed various
3 sworn statements and medical records and rules and
4 regulations concerning the care and treatment
5 received by Donald Shock on January lst and January
6 2nd of 1990?
7 A Yes, I have.
8 Q Before I ask you about your opinions as it
9 relates to the quality of care received, can you tell
10 us about your medical education?
11 A Yes, sir. I graduated from medical school at
12 the Ohio State University in 1972. I did an
13 internship in surgery at the University of Texas,
14 South Western Medical School finishing in 1973. I
15 completed a general surgery residency training in
16 1977, then at the University of Louisville, Kentucky.
17 Q Following that did you have any further
18 training?
19 A No, sir. I became a faculty member in the
20 School of Medicine in Louisville.
21 Q Can you trace then your professional career
22 after your education and training?
23 A I became an instructor of surgery at the
24 University of Louisville School of Medicine then in
25 July of 1977. I was in Louisville for a little more

1 than five years, and then the fall of 1982, left
2 Louisville and became professor of surgery here at
3 Case Western Reserve Un
