       10   occupation?


       11   A         My name is Victor dewolfe  I am a physician


       12   Q         And would you outline for us briefly your education 1


       13   background?


       14   A         From the University on up?


       15   Q         Yes


       16   A         I went to Princeton University for my undergraduate


       17   work  The medical college of Columbia University, which



       18   is called a College of Physicians and surgeons for my medical



       19   degree, and then I had some post graduate training



       20   Q         What specialized fields?



       21   A         In vascular disease



       22   Q         Are you board certified in any area?



       23   A         Yes


       24   Q         What area is that?


       25   A         Internal medicine

       I    Q -       And within internal medicine, do you have a special-


       2    ized practice?


       3    A        Yes,sir


       4    Q        What area is that?


       5    A        Peripheral vascular disease


       6    Q        Tell the Court what that is?


            A        Peripheral vascular disease is the study of the


       8    arteries, the veins, and lymph vessels peripheral to the


       9    heart


       10   Q        Does it include the treatment of people suffering


       11   from deep venous thrombophlebitis?


       12   A        Yes


       i:i  Q        With regard to the drug Coumadin, have you had


       14   any professional experience with administering that, in


       15  seeing patients being treated with Coumadin?


       16   A        Yes, I have had a great deal of experience



       17             I had experience in the very early development



       18   of Coumadin's predecessor, which was called "dycoumerin"



       19   during my residency training with Dr Erving Wright, who



       20   is the one to first use Coumadin clinically  My responsibilities



       21   as a fellow on his service in vascular disease was to administer


            Coumadin

       24   to author or co-author medical papers, or publications?



       25   A        Yes
