Can you hear me okay? 16 A Yes, sir 17 MR HUDGINS: He\'s shaking his head yes 18 BY MR FURR, CONTINUING: 19 Q Okay Doctor, I\'ve got a copy of some old CVs I\'ve got from 20 some old depositions you have given over the years But I 21 don\'t know if I have a current one Do you have one with 22 you? 23 A I have one that isn\'t quite -- well, it\'s actually predated 24 June 30th of this year 25 Q That\'s a whole lot more current than the one I have 0004 1 A Okay 2 MR FURR: If you could go ahead and give a copy of that 3 to the court reporter, I\'d like to have that marked as 4 Exhibit No 1 5 (Donn Deposition Exhibit No 1 marked for 6 identification) 7 BY MR FURR, CONTINUING: 8 Q Dr Donn, you are a neonatologist, is that correct? 9 A Yes, sir 10 Q And just give me a very brief history of your educational 11 training as a neonatologist, beginning with where you went to 12 college and received your medical training 13 A My undergraduate training was obtained at the University of 14 Michigan I had a double major in german literature and 15 zoology I graduated in 1971 with a bachelor of arts degree 16 My medical training was obtained at Tulane University, 17 in New Orleans, graduated in November of 1974 with an 18 MD degree Following graduation from medical school, I 19 spent approximately a six month period of time working under 20 the auspices of Dr Harry Shirkey, who was the chairman of 21 pediatrics at Tulane, doing a number of things for him 22 including proofreading of tables of drugs he was preparing 23 for two textbooks, making rounds with him in the infectious 24 disease ward, and learning some research techniques in 25 pharmacology, which was his area of expertise 0005 1 In June of 1975, I began my residency in the field of 2 general pediatrics at the University of Vermont College of 3 Medicine and Medical Center Hospital of Vermont, in 4 Burlington, which concluded on June 30th of 1978 On July 5 1st of 1978, I began my fellowship in neonatal/perinatal 6 medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann 7 Arbor, which I concluded two years later I was appointed to 8 the medical staff at the University of Michigan Medic
