II. Collection of Information

When you register with CrossExam.com (which is only required when you donate a transcript to our site), we ask that you provide your name, street address, zip code, phone number, e-mail address and company/firm, so that we can credit your account with your donation. Those purchasing transcripts are required to provide to our secure third party payment processor their credit card number and expiration date. Those donating transcripts can review this process at http://www.crossexam.com/products.html.

As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We also collect aggregated information about your use of our site in order to optimize our site usability.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.

The only third party services providers that we use are a third party to provide secure credit card transactions and a web hosting company to host our site. If you purchase a transcript via credit card (which is the only form of payment that we accept), you will be required to provide to our third party credit card processing provider the type of information typically required to complete any on-line purchase. In such a case, we do not receive any such information back from our credit card processing company If you register for CrossExam.com (because you are donating transcripts for credits - registration is not necessary when you purchase transcripts) we do not share any personally identifiable information with any third party except service providers as described in this privacy statement.

These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose including their own marketing purposes.

CrossExam.com may release personally identifiable information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site
  • Enforce or apply the terms of our user agreements, or Protect the rights, property or safety of CrossExam.com our users or others.
